The Board of Christian Education (BOCE) oversees the educational activities and ministries of the Church. All educational activities are coordinated through the Board. The Board meets monthly, and is comprised of representatives from every department in the local church. Decisions regarding educational activities for the church are voted and implemented by the Board of Christian Education.
Christian Youth Fellowship (C.Y.F.)
The Christian Youth Fellowship is made up of youth ages 12 through 17. The purpose of the C.Y.F. is to train young people in Christian living, to enable them to enrich their lives through worship, Bible study, discussions, Christian service, and recreation; to help them solve personal and social problems in light of the life and teachings of Christ; to offer them opportunities for self-expression and exercise in the duties, functions, and responsibilities of the church; and to provide opportunities for inter-action with other youth in facing social problems. The youth participate in Sunday school, choir, ushers, missionaries, step team, and praise dance.
Commission on Membership and Evangelism
The Commission on Membership and Evangelism to work in cooperation with the pastor, Presiding Elder and District Director of Evangelism in spreading the “Good News” of Jesus Christ and enhancing the spiritual life of the congregation.
Intercessory Prayer Team
The vision of the intercessory prayer team is to keep in continual prayer the welfare and needs, both spiritual and natural, of the pastor and pastor's family, all leaders, the concerns of the church, its members and all those with whom they come in contact. Their goal is to see the worship experience reach heights that have never been experienced. They continually pray that the Holy Spirit will have first place, free course and final authority in all the church undertakes. Prayer requests may be sent to email@example.com.
The department is responsible for the program of lay ministry in the church in accordance with the objectives and structure outlines by the General Department of Lay Ministry. Any member of the local CME Church who indicates a desire to do so may join the Department of Lay Ministry.
Women Of Purpose (Women’s Ministry)
The Women of Purpose Ministry endeavors to create an atmosphere where women can realize spiritual maturity and fellowship; develop their leadership skills; and minister in the local church, their community and the world. This mission is accomplished by devoting their time, talents and finances to promote the
Liturgical Dance (Children and Youth)
There are two liturgical dance groups. “Precious Praise” consists of the small children, and “Anointed” is comprised of the Eden CME youth.
This step team is comprised of both male and female youth at Eden CME. Through innovative steps and dances, the team strives to "Turn their S.W.A.G. up!" In this case, S.W.A.G. is an acronym for "Serving Wholeheartedly Almighty God".
Health and Wellness Ministry
The Health and Wellness Ministry was developed in compliance with the National Council of Churches and its promotion of health care to members of the Congregations. The Health and Wellness Ministry provides education, medical screenings and information to promote healthy lifestyles for all members. The Ministry stresses the importance and benefits of health care in the areas of the physical, psychological and spiritual.
Ministry to Men
The goal of Ministry to Men is to serve the needs and interests of men in the church and the community. Their meetings are held every 3rd Saturday at 7:00 A.M.
An outreach ministry which encourages, supports and nurtures high school seniors who pursue a college education. We endeavor to provide a substantial monetary gift that will help them successfully begin their college careers.
Stewards are persons of solid piety who both know and love the Methodist doctrine and discipline. They are persons of good natural and acquired ability to transact the temporal business of the church. In conjunction with the Stewardesses, the Stewards estimate the salary of the pastor as well as housing and travel allowance, travel expenses for meetings, and medical hospitalization insurance. Their duties include keeping an accurate account of the money collected or other provisions for the support of the ministry and keeping an accurate record of money spent by the church, for all purposes. Stewards are nominated by the Preacher in Charge to the Quarterly Conference, which reserves the authority to confirm or to reject the nominees. The Stewards are to be elected annually.
Stewardesses are nominated by the Preacher in Charge to the Quarterly Conference for confirmation or rejection.
The duties of the Stewardess are:

Sunday Church School
The purpose of our Sunday Church School is to provide training for members of the church in the love and knowledge of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, in the meaning and understanding of the Bible as God’s Word, and to help them grow in their Christian faith.
Sunday School classes divided into the age categories of children, youth, young adults, and adults as designated by the General Department of Christian Education. Classes meet every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m.
The Pastor shall nominate persons to the Quarterly Conference for the office of trustee, provided there is not a State of Territorial Law which prohibits or prevents this process.
The minimum age for election to the office of a trustee shall be eighteen (18 years of age at the time of election).
The nominees for the office shall be members of the C.M.E. Church.
The nominees for the office shall be members of the C.M.E. Church.
The trustees as a board shall hold all property, real, personal and mixed, owned by the charge; and other other such property as may be committed to their keeping.
The ushers admit people to the house of worship, attend to their comfort while they are there, and perform any other duties assigned to them by the pastor.

The purpose of the Local Church Women’s Missionary Society shall be:

|To encourage cooperation, fellowship, and mutual counsel concerning the spiritual life and religious activities of the Christian Church.|
Communications and Information Technology (C.I.T.) Ministry
An audio/ visual ministry that provides high quality services for small and large scale meetings, as well as Eden CME worship services. Our services include but are not limited to audio and video, media production and sales, meeting planning, web development, and marketing.
